Floras Fight
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I’m wondering if you would be able to help share my daughter’s story. We are from Aberlady and my daughter is currently battling stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer. We are fundraising for treatment in America, not available on the NHS. I have summarised Flora’s story below for your consideration, but please let me know if you have any questions!
Flora is our beautiful little girl who was diagnosed with Autism almost a year ago, and stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer in April. Doctors found a tumour next to one of her kidneys, cancer in her skull and behind her eyes and in her bone marrow. To say that Flora has been dealt a difficult start in life, is an understatement. Despite the challenges she faces, she is the happiest and most affectionate little girl! There are days you would have no idea she’s even battling a life threatening illness. But there are also days where Flora is incredibly ill and as parents, it is frightening and heartbreaking to witness. Neuroblastoma has a wicked way of working and despite the gruelling treatment, 50% of children with Neuroblastoma will relapse.
We are fundraising £350K for a clinical trial in New York, that aims to reduce the risk of relapse in children with Neuroblastoma. We will not reach this target without help, so please can you help us share our story!
