The Hotdisc Country music chart is the only chart that counts in Europe as it is put together by DJs and media people themselves. It is an instant guide to what the industry thinks about the current songs released in this territory.
Hotdisc is the number 1 promotional CD packed with new singles which is sent out to 800 industry professionals each month. These people rate the songs on merit by returning reaction sheets and from that data the chart is compiled and released every Sunday.
Every record company and artist in the world is eligible to release their music via Hotdisc so there is a huge range of different styles from traditional to contemporary country music, and some of the top acts in the world appear on the charts along with newer names from across the world and indeed from the UK.
The weekly show is broadcast on East Coast FM every Sunday night from 10pm.
