OFCOM awarded full FM community radio licence 2012 – broadcasting on 107.6FM throughout East Lothian since April 2013.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week service from professional quality studios in Haddington
Internet and dedicated smart phone app access for greater visibility.
65000 Weekly listeners (OFCOM audited).
2016 winner of 5 prestigious UK national Radio Awards a first in Scotland including the ‘Best Community Show’ in the U.K.
2017 Awarded the most prestigious Training Award in the U.K. The Princess Royal Training Award. The FIRST and only Broadcaster of any kind to obtain that award for the training of young people.
2018 again for the second time Awarded the most prestigious Training Award in the U.K. The Princess Royal Training Award. The FIRST and only Broadcaster of any kind to obtain that award for the Training of Members who live with special issues in their lives.

Our objectives…

To generate community spirit by providing a radio station for those living in East Lothian and to create a community hub for Haddington’s growing population.
To promote and celebrate arts and culture on our doorstep.
To tackle community issues through discussion and interviews with those involved and those in a position to help create positive change.
To broadcast community news that feels relevant for people living in East Lothian.
To encourage intergenerational volunteering both in running the station and social events.
To make community inclusion and diversity the foundation on which we operate. Our volunteer presenters and team include school pupils, pensioners, ASN presenters, members of minority groups and cultural communities living in East Lothian.
To specialise in community focussed programming including minority language programming hosted by local residents profiling and featuring local artists.
To involve young people in broadcast and showcase youth music in East Lothian
To provide skills development for young people by providing training to enable them to make and present programmes. The School Bell is a core programme in the station’s schedule hosted by East Lothian Schools and academies in rotation. This provides young people with a voice and valuable experience while promoting inter school relationships. It helps to develop communication skills and boost confidence.
